All right, so I've been underwater for the last several weeks and have largely neglected the car. In my mind, that means doing nothing but driving it and filling the tank. No cleaning, no maintenance- nothing.
So I spent Thursday afternoon starting with my cataracted headlights, leading to a wash, wax and then leather treatment. The car looks brand spanking new, minus the little dings contracted in 15 years of living. If she was a chick, I'd do her.
Then I started making note of the little things to be taken care of: the cracked window trim around the passenger door vent, the dings and a possible interior change. But the one that drives me up a wall currently is the darn trunk supports. An easy DIY, I know- but it's all about timing.
So in the meantime, I am forced to use what you see below to prop up my trunk. As most SC owners who've had this problem know, it still doesn't keep you from head banging. And not the fun kind, with drunk groupies and loud music.
This thread is in honor of those who either haven't gotten around to it, can't afford it or have prioritized it for a later time (or who simply don't care).
Excuse the quality of the pics- I'm due a new phone very soon and GA weather isn't always photo friendly...
I actually did get around to replacing mine, it was a pita and a sliced my thumb open good trying to get one of the clips off..
But before I did so I used a baseball bat and/or golf club
I'm old school ghetto...I had a shower rod, and the sad part I used it for about two years before I replaced the trunk shots. I know, WTH! Sorry no pics, I sold the car back in April...I left the rod in the car too-lol, NICE!!
