Default will the power steering pump fail again?

When I got my pump rebuilt at 85K I was told that the rebuild kit included seals of better design and it will last longer, but who knows - any owners of high-mile SC's out there that have had a ps pump fail twice?

I was sweeping my driveway today and I noticed PS fluid. Now I am pissed, so I popped my hood. Guess what I saw. My radiator is leaking also. This really sucks. The radiator was replaced 15 months ago at Lexus but the warranty states it is only warranted for 12 months. The radiator has a lifetime warranty sticker on it. I dont know what to do. This sucks. I WAS so happy with my car.

Regarding the radiator, I had a 11-month old replacement radiator fail on me recently. When the radiator shop where I purchased fixed it under warranty (somewhat grudgingly) by simply removing the top & bottom tanks, and installing new "rubber gaskets" (or whatever they're called).

They claimed this is a common occurence on cars with a sticky thermostat--creates a pressure spike which blows the tank seal.

If yours is leaking at the tank/core seal, it should be easy to fix--and have your thermostat changed if it's old (mine was 10yrs/215k old).

HTH,
TIM
