Default '95 SC400, Headlight bulb replacement question..

On my '95 SC400, the smaller (outside) headlamp bulb went out on the drivers side. Do I need to remove the battery or anything to replace the bulb. Also do I need to remove the plastic housing to replace a burned out fog lamp bulb? Thanks in advance

no and no. just replace the bulb, and to get to the foglights you have to go through your wheel liner and through the back of the front bumper, easy peasy.

Just to be sure, I unscrew the outer bulb housing. I looked at it and my battery is in the way, no way I can get to it without removing the battery. Is the another way to unscrew the bulb housing and replace it?

Yep! it's a tight area, disconnecting the battery would make it easier to replace the bulb. The fog light is a little tricky, it has a clasp as the ground and to hold the bulb in the compartment. Disconnect the wiring flat head first, before you open the clasp. It will be tight so you will have to wiggle the connection/wire a few time, until it loosens and become free. Remember to never to the bulbs with your fingers and turn counter clockwise to gain access to the bulbs. You might have to remove your front tire for the fog light, but whatever side is burnout turn your wheel away from the fog light compartment to give you more room/access to work.

Thanks. I'll pull the battery and replace the headlight bulb. I'll hold off on the fog lamp bulbs.

I was able to replace that bulb without removing the battery. It was tight and I'm an averaged size man. You might try removing the battery tie down and just shift the battery around a little.

It's the parking lamp inside the headlight housing, to the outside of the main headlight.

you replace that bulb like you would the low beam light. No need to remove anything but the bulb itself
