Default Diesel compound turbo set up?

Hey fellas just wondering if I could get some opinions here on this set up.

http://www.alligatorperformance.com/...ns-p-3202.html

I have a spare GTE engine laying around and have been kicking the compound idea around, boost logics is just too pricy if you consider building the engine with forged internals and built top end. This set up caught my eye, let me know what you guys thoughts are and if it's even worth perusing vs a big single (that's been done a million times)

I just don't know how the turbos themselves would work out, I'm by far not a truck turbo expert

i was just thinking about that today too hahaha... ive been searching around trying to find someone who had done something like that, but not on a 1 or 2j yet... i flew to Arizona last year to pick up a 08 f350 diesel (comes with a compound turbo). its quick but not as quick as my 04 f250 which is Single turbo.. didn't really notice much difference compared to mine. i got a few mods on mine. and for being a heavy @$$ truck this thing moves.. i'm running 35x20x12.5 mud tires and it almost breaks loose if i punch it from a dig.. its a 6.0 single turbo.

the 54mm and 72mm combo this thing should spool fast.. What I like about this system is that it only uses one waste gate, do you have any idea how that work? Boost controller etc....

Knowing how to TIG weld is going to be the only inexpensive way you can compound a JZ engine.

Look at Marc from Boost Logic's 2jzGE with Compounded 50trim, and GT42R!

Agreed but I think I could make these ats's work with minor modification, Marc is using 2 wastegates, apparently you don't need to,

If you use one wastegate on a compound setup, your boost is going to be through the moon.

Besides, technically you can use the treadstone cast manifold and build a system like the ATS, for half the money and use BorWarner turbos. If you were awesome that is.

I think I will stick with 1 turbo. I like the way that boost just rushes in... not very streetable at take off but man.

I was thinking of just building my own like you sad, i could probably get it together for around 3k tops, including tail wastegates
