Last summer my compressor started squeling, after a couple of days the light on the climate control would just blink. Being the end of summer I thought oh well I will change compressor in spring. But now when I push the ac button the light stays on but still not working. Now i am wondering if it is the compressor. Any help would be appreciated.

have you tried the diagnosis tree in the service manual?

there could be a couple of reasons for a a/c system not working, sensors, low freon level, bad connections at sensors and clutch plug also check your relay's and fuses
