well it was nice and lovely here in b-more with 30-50mph winds today and my wife opened the car door and the 50 mph winds took her car door and flung it wide open over extending or bending or breaking the middle door hinge piece. Ughhhhhhhhhh I'd love to go one @$*!@&%!#*) day without having to shell out a few hundred $'s for something. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh

anyway i looked at it when she got home and as far as i can tell i think its the middle hinge that is allwoing the door to open to a 90* angle with the car and preventing the window from rolling all the way down.

anyone ever had to replace this part?

i'm guessing the door panel has to come off etc etc.

Almost happend to my wife too! Luckily it wasn't enough to pop it like in your situation. Any body damage as a result or is it limited to just the hinge?

no just the door hinge i believe. part is 125 at dealer and i think i can fix it myself or at least attempt myself then if i find its more damage i'll put it back together and send it them or the body shop to fix.

Havre de Grace is nice - some good fishing to be had! I would have to get me a boat to pull behind my GX if I lived there.
