hello all my names jerome from mn. i have been lurking for awhile. i first was on the site when i bought a nightmare of a sc few years back
well i gave up on the sc and got rid of it and few years later what do i get another sc!!!! that runs!!
so far done. GTE headgasket ARP headstuds new dizzy plugs Wires coils EGR delete Emissions delete. plans for future are boost and 5 speed swap. looking for 5-600 hp no rush just taking my time to get there i just started college lol . more pix will be up later today thank you all for looking
I almost got into a silver 1986 Z31 non-turbo before I bought my SC. The car was going to be free so I was looking into 3.3L+turbo+5-speed swaps but the seller did not tell me that the title was not in her name so she couldn't just gift the car to me anyway.
Oh well much happier to be in a far more modern car with an even bigger following. Those early ZX's are like the black sheep of the Z family.
What's done to that Z31?

the z is a buddys car. its nice but not my taste, very quick, has alot of traction issues with street tires
that has a completely built vg30et with a single garrett turbo not sure of the specs but its tuned on nis tune and dynoed at 387hp@18psi and ran 13.7 at BIR a summer or two ago it needs the z32 Maf the z31 is maxxed out
lol well it did too i had everything to fix it too. took it to a family members frame shop and he told me the frame was twisted to the point it was un-repairable

That is sexy.
I love the way those VG30's and VG33's sound in the higher RPMs. Very different from our frantic inline 6's. They're easy to tune and work on plus they have soooo much parts interchange from newer VG's made well into the early 2000's. There's just something about the T-tops, boxy style with flip up headlights that really works for me especially when slammed on Rota RB's or other vintage style wheels.
