I understand your guys concern about not returning to this shop, but I spent over a thousand dollars
last year replacing the timing belt, waterpump, valve cover gaskets, etc. Everything is under warranty
and it will cost me a lot of money to get this replaced somewhere else. Will I return to this shop after
this repair is fixed...NO. Thank you for the information Omar. That is definitely the type of assistance
that is helpful when dealing with small garage mechanics. It sounds like they didn't use any type
of "O-ring" connecting the pump to the block inlet.

Before I head over there during lunch and raise hell, I found a few pics online of this waterpump. I see that this image has a "gasket". The coolant is leaking from the outer part of the waterpump where this gasket should be located.

Ok, stopped by the garage a few minutes ago and he'll replace it for free once more. He wants to replace the older rear section that I've highlighted in the image below this time. Anyone know the part number for the back piece that connects to the block?

Shane,

Lexus and Toyota don't sell just the rear piece they sell the complete water pump assy front with rear. There is no Part# for it.
Tell him to go to lexus or toyota and get you a new water pump , that one will come complete with everything that you need to install it.

I read the whole thing... Honestly if your problem comes back again. I would look into crank/cam sensor idk if are cars have both or 1 combined.

Btw if it was your clutch, your car would rev up as there is no friction with the plate. You would rev up and go no where. Your mechanic is a complete retard. Don't do business with him.
