Default interior

Ok i pulled out all my interior and trying to figure out which would be the best route to go. I currently have all tan interior and trying to convert to black. Im going to paint all the plastic pieces black and going to by new seat covers off ebay for a factory fit. Just need to figure out as far as the door panels and the dash if i should paint as well or just rewrap them. I think it would be easier to paint them but i don't want to do so if the paint will chip off when you rub your arm against it. Is there a real good quality paint out there for leather and plastic that won't do so? If you guys have some pics of interior that has been painted please post so i can see how it looks. And if anybody has rewrapped there interior please post as well and explain how difficult it is to do as well thank you any feed back would be great...

SEM is probably the best you will find for it. There are a lot of people on here that use it successfully. Re-wrapping would be the more proper way to go about it, but depending on your budget may not be entirely "worth" it.

imo you can paint the leather that you dont touch often and it should hold up great(mine has so far)
as far as plastic, id say try to find the few plastic pieces in oem black because you can paint it itll work and look good but a scratch will show the under color....
the good is a simple spray can fix it but thats up to you...im buying a few of the parts(especially the plastic runners along the door next to the carpet, i painted for the time but it wont hold up worth a crap but its ok until i can find oem pieces.

either way good luck TAKE YOUR TIME and PREP!!!

Yea that sem paint dye is what i just got thru looking at it would make much easier for me. but the only reason i was considering rewrapping the door panels is because one of them has a tear on it and im not painting over that.... Just dont know how hard it is to rewrap the door panels...

i prepped by wiping the surface with alcohol, soap and water would be good if yours are particularly dirty then use alcohol to clean and residue off the surface. i went to Autozone and bought a can of adhesion promoter and i went to a Sherwin Williams commercial supplier who had to order it for me. forget the part number but tell them u want SEM landau black it is the closest to the OEM black interior

You can buy a black armrest cover for cheap on ebay. It's a good idea for something you'll have constant contact with.
