I have changed the fuel pump,time belt, and water pump. my check engine light does not come on I beleive that its one of my sensors because they dont always give off codes when they do go wrong. If someone has had the same problem please give some advice I will give you more details.

Narrow it down. Spark, fuel, and air. Needs all three, your missing one or two.

 

It will only start sometimes, I cant turn it off and turn it back on sometimes i can but not that often i would have to give it some time. it seems like an electrical problem(its not the starter, battery, or alternator dont insult me).

i dont think its the timing its a bad connection some where or a sensor.
i have just been trying to eliminate possibilities

 

There are millions of reasons that a car would crank but not start. The two most likely are a) Distributor is 180 degrees out and b) fuel filter is clogged. Marty, how about you run us through your diagnostic process so far and maybe we can identify something you've missed?

 

It turned out to be my ECU and also a bad crank sensor but all i did was cvhange the ecu and it work out fined.

 

A bad ECU? wow.

 

where does the lexus club meet in northern virginia. i always see the z guys and a couple of others but never lexus.

 

I was gonna suggest bad ecu once. Happened to me, sold the car. Then it happened to another guy I know, I said lets try swapping ecu's. Boom started up and I cried for selling mine. Lol
