I'm Back.....Again !!!!!
Well, went and saw my ride for the first time in a while. The work my buddy has done is unbelievable in person. These pics do no justice to what it looks like. We picked all colors for the suede and vinyl today and got to take my first listen. Car sounds phenomenal !!! We are going to eliminate the rear speakers all together. Car stages so good with the fronts they just aren't necessary. Everything on gas tank is coming off. My XS rear battery died so I bought another platinum for the rear. Isolator going away too. Fuse holder and relays for fuel pumps are going on custom made bracket next to the stock fuel pump relay. This way I shouldn't ever have to pull trunk apart to get to anything. Rear speaker amp coming out too. I'm going back in three weeks to clean everything in the trunk before we put all the panels in. My **** retentive ness just can't keep me from doing that. I'll have some new pics up soon.

hey ssmith. you have got the greatest car here on clublexus. its freakin unbelievable how much detain and attention has been put into that car. i'm currently working on a fuse box and battery relocation to trunk and fender wires to frame rail. my only question i have while im doing this, i'm also doing a whole bunch of stuff while in the process. for example, i still have the factory radio but i put 2 rca cables for when i do get an aftermarket radio and 2 amplifiers. 1 for front and rear speakers, one for 2 subs. i also am wiring a relay to directly turn the fuel pump on when i flip the ignition. but anyways, my one question, can i completely cut out the factory remote system if i want to buy this website, http://www.advancedkeys.com/index.htm? i hope you would know more about this.
Richard,
Yeah, everything bolts together like a puzzle. Whole trunk could be disassembled in twenty minutes including subwoofer enclosure. That will never happen though
Leaving it all alone unless I have a bulb burn out or an amplifier problem.

Maybe some of these pics will bring a little interest. Rear deck lid got its suede on. Factor rear speaker cloth and vent grill still have to be painted "chocolate" brown. I think it's going to look great.
Rear trunk lid cover is covered. The JL logo still has to be painted along with the bottom side of the trunk and trunk bars. This will be getting done soon.

Okay, let's see if I can explain this. The side piece will have a removable mesh grill on both sides to get to DVD changer door and to the battery on the other side. Grill will be painted chocolate brown against the light vinyl and the two wood pieces will be hydro dipped with a wood grain finish. There will also be wood grain pieces against the front wall where the lexus logo is.
