got my car a year ago and i cnt figure out why it hesitates so much! it will run fine on start up but when i come to a red light the idle will be ok for about a minute then start dropping low and my dash will dim and brighten as it hesitates
CEL-none got a code 25 week ago "lean" so i changed the cooalnt temp sensor in hope, reset the ecu, no more CEl

ECU-Changed
spark plugs-New-gonna change again after seafoam
maf-Changed
air filter-New
fuel filter-New
12v mod-Done
check ground- ran new ground points
sea foam-gonna happen next week after i get paid so i can run it in a full tank of gas, whts the best method?
coolant temp sensor- New
oil change- (not for hesitation i guess lol) done

 

theres a thread on here that i cnt find right now but, the guy had similar issues to urs and said it was the coil pack on the drivers side i believe... i would just change both to be safe. he did a bunch of things before comming to this realization.

 

ethanol & reformulated gas will sometimes cause hesitation

 

25 will need you to replace your main heated O2 Sensors. Hesitation could also me a vac leak and idle problem could be combo of the 2, maf or iac! However there is a lengthy thread on this. Search sc400 hesitation.

gas im running right now- speedway 93 octane
vac leaks-checked and recked it all lol it was my first thing to do

i followed the ultimate sc hesitation post but everything i checked has checked out so far, coil pack was not on there, so ill do that and was planning on o2 sensors this week, whats your guys take on bosch universal o2 from auto zone? its 55 bucks

im running a 92 sc400

It almost sounds like it's a charging issue if it's hesitating during idle. You can have it load test to see if your charging system is any good.

 

a new battery? idk man just naming things

 

got the alt checked at advanced autoparts and it checked out fine

ill give that a shot too,prolly upgrade to an optima or kintec
