Okay.. so this morning i went to move my sc400 out of the driveway and when I turned on the key the engine was shaking violently/rough after about 30 seconds it shuts itself off. I turn it on again and same thing happens, it shuts off again. What could be the source of problem for this violent shaking? The night before it ran perfect and engine was real smooth. No error code shows up.

 

Pull the EFI fuse. Wait two minutes then reinsert it. Report back with any more updates or codes. Could be a thousand things. We need to narrow it down.

i would bet my money on it being coils.

One time my car did the same thing, engine shaking violently --i was scared ---turned out to eb a coil pack ----less then a hundred dollar fix.

 

Yeah I was thinking the same.. or the fuel injectors. I think I read the thread about you having troubles with it. Either way the car works fine now and running smoothly.. I think she was just on her period this morning

 

no codes.. could be some ground wire that is bad maybe..

 

hopefully its one of those problems that goes away and never comes back, its happened to me before.

It might be a wise move to go ahead and do some mkaintenance anyways, if of course you are able to afford it finacially.

A change of plugs , wires , coils etc is never a bad idea to be proactive about.
