i recently purchased an ipad to use for my audio and video source in my car. after a little modification to the radio bezel i was able to build a dock for it. i used a AV cable to hook it up to an EQ that runs to my amps. the AV cable also came with a usb charging port that i conected to my cig lighter to charge it. i thought about doing a car PC but this is a lot cheaper and you can take it out so you dont run the risk of it getting stolen. give me some feedback what do you guys think? check out the video in the link.

Maybe if you extended the center console up around the ipad it would look less out of place like so, only not crappily done in photoshop haha:

 

Hey whats up bohemio! I think your idea is pretty cool, and I was thinking of doing something similar just not sure if im going to do it during or after I upgrade my system. Definitely a cool alternative to the "carputer"
