Hey guys just recently my 12 disc player stoped working =( and buying a used one or even new one is sooooo expensive.. I pluged my friends one in and it started working just fine then when I pluged mine in it just shows up on the headunit in the car a "ERR" message? Is this fixable? Id rather not take away from the car and install and aftermarket headunit(would make it easier to change CD's though) but I wanna keep the car stock.. Any help or info would be great I know this question has poped up alot. Thanks!

IMO its not worth rebuilding the CD players. I can make you aux port for your car if you like.

PS. i don't have the ash trey, cd player, carpet. MIGHT have the antenna but not 100% it works.

 

Find Aliga in this forum and check with him. He seems to have a never ending supply of parts for the SC. He might be able to suggest a CD changer from another model - maybe a newer model that will work with your car.

Although my CD changer is working, I bought one of those cassette to ipod adapter and I am happy with that.

Hey alex ya my stereo is ****ed! My antenna is shot idk if i just need a new mast or whole motor and mast I turn the radio on and off but cant hear the motor working anymore( i already pulled out the old broken mast but i think the motor is fried too) the 12 disc player wont work and now my tape deck is spitting up my adaptor its bs. So I have no means of music when i drive other then hearing stations cut in and out since there is no antenna. I think im just gonna buy a FM transmittor because it should pick up the signal from inside the car lol. Ill keep looking for the other parts but one of these days ill bring my sc down there and Ill show you it. Can u make a AUX plug with the stock system?

 

Help...I have a cd player the has an ERROR 3 code..meaning it is jammed and I can't see a cd that I could get to...I know I rejected 4 of the 6 but now one is stuck inside it....I have no clue how to get the cd player out of the dashboard...can't see any screws..etc. I have a 2003 sc 430....can anyone tell me how to remove the cd player from my car? Thanks...

 

Yeah you can make a aux port with the stock system as long as you have a working CD player even though it err's i believe.

^desringltr look up in the sc430 forum they use a 6 disc player in the dash and the sc300/400 have a 12 disc in the trunk. Hope you get it fixed!

Check out the stereo section in forum, there is a thread to wire in a aux into the factory headunit. By the way, the 6 disc out of a 92-96 ES300 will plug right in. Its a 6 disc, but the ports are the same, and you have to finds some how to mount it, maybe the glove box.

 

I have a 12 disc out my 93 for $75 if you deside to keep the stock set up.
