Default Idle issue.

So last week I took off my IACV and cleaned it, put it back on and now the car doesn't seem to be controlling the idle by itself at all, after I hold the gas a bit to get the rpm's up I can put it in gear drive for a bit and after its warmed up it will idle at about 700 but as far as a cold start goes nope it idles at about 200 then dies. It seems like the IACV isnt working at all. Any ideas? I would be fine with just buying a new IACV if it wasn't a $260 part. Anyone know how to tell if its functioning or not? any circuit info?

It's just a stepper motor. There's a procedure in the FSM to apply power and ground to various pins in a particular order to "step" the motor and clock the valve open and closed again. I have seen it posted here before, so it should turn up with a search.

Take it off the TB, leave the connector plugged in. Lay it on top of the TB to where you can see it. (if you're by your self, or have someone else play with the key).

You SHOULD see the plunger FULLY retract or extend (can't remember) I believe when you try to start it because of the huge vacuum leak then when you turn the key off and pull it out of the ignition, you should see it head the other way.

I tested the ground method, it barely moves so it's not an indicator to me to test properly.
