Issue With Sea Foam
Just sea foamed my my sc4 over the weekend and man what a difference it made. My car is so responsive now, no more hesitation its like night and day. There is one issue i have as a result of completing this process. My car now has a higher idle. Before i would cold start the car and it would naturally idle high until it warmed up, then it would kick down and idle at around maybe 800rpm. But now it warms up at like 12-1500rpm and kicks down to 1000rpm when warm. When i put it in gear it kicks down to around 800rpm, but when in park it goes back to 1000rpm. Anyone have any idea what might of happened? Or is this the way our cars are supposed to run and im just not use to it? Thanks to all who can help me out with this issue.
My SC300 does the same thing, its an auto. Idles at 1,500 until it gets a little warmer then drops back down to right around 8-900. Is the computer upping the idle to make for cooler weather(36-degrees at 4AM)? Im confused too. to OP i wasn't trying to thread jack so my apologies.
its been really cold as of late, plus the car needs to re-learn its idle since everything was cleaned out. Usually when the carbon deposits are removed from the throttle plate, it needs time to try and relearn itself.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. OK so correct me if im wrong, but judging by the reactions I got from everyone, Im thinking that the 750-900 rpm is normal, and because everything is much cleaner now the computer needs to relearn its idle? One thing I forgot to tell everyone about was, the vacuum line that goes to the little nipple in front of the intake, just below the Lexus emblem cracked on me so I did a quick fix with electrical "i know its ghetto" tape until i can order one from SEWELL or Carson Lexus. You think maybe its not sealing enough? And its sucking a little extra air in causing the higher idle?

Sounds about normal but 1500 at start is a bit high.
Cracked vacuum hose caused my Soarer to do all sorts of weird things at idle, might want to check that.
Idle Air Control Valve is know on these cars to malfunction after oil and gunk buildup causing erratic idling, there's tons of information regarding dis-assembly and cleaning procedures.
Just to add, I seafoamed my SC400 about 6,000km ago in the summer and it has idles noticeably better since, seems to run slightly smoother but that could just be me.
