Default Door Hinges

My passenger door hinge is making a lot of funny creaking noises when I open and close it. When I close it, I can feel the door sagging down as well. I pack it with as much lithium grease as I can but I think its death is near.

Does anybody know how much a new door hinge/bushing costs?

Does anybody know what the dealer quotes for this type of job?

I've seen the fix and repair at the LSOC, but i'm afraid this job is out of my league. Its also a job that NEEDS to be done.

Any help and information is great!
Thanks all!

If I recall, the part alone is about $300. Do a search - lots of discussion on this. I know I said the exact price in the main thread on this.

Spartan Toyota / Lexus sells them on www.parts.com for $248

Takes two or three guys to do the swap.

where do you get all those diagrams from? I'm interested in getting a program like the autoshops have...

I have a couple of programs I found if anyone wants to trade...

I have the Mitchell repair and the one I bought on eBay (which is a bunch of pdf files)

Tony,

Right click and open the properties on the picture. They are all from www.parts.com

I usually find everything there. Some diagrams are screwed up but most are pretty helpful. I am like you, I like to see the diagram before digging into a project.

Hmm,

If you click on a part, sometimes, about 40% of the time you will see a second icon 'view illus'

www.parts.com --> lexus --> Spartan -> year/make -> model -> door -> door&components -> view illus

That should do it.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Gotcha, thanks. Turns out I already had Spartan Motor Mall in my Favorites - very helpful site. Thanks again.

Hey Guys!

Can you do me a favour and someone check their Parts CD and see what the OEM Part ## is for the door hinge assembly? That would be number 10 on the picture above!

Thanks a lot! It seems like I have to change the door hinge myself now!

I called my local Lexus dealership earlier today and they want
$498 Can. for one hinge assembly!

I'm going to try to find some "aftermarket" prices!

Thanks again!

Just look for Ronnie at Keyes Lexus. He hooked me up with great deals and service. He says he'll even give free shipping.

Can you give phone no. or web site of Keyes Lexus?

If www.parts.com got it for $248 each. I might buy from them if no one else can beat that price.
