I have had this problem for a while:

My passenger side door will NOT open from the OUTSIDE only.

I just picked up the suggested door clip (I have the number somewhere) from my local Toyota dealer.

I finally got around to putting in tonight. It went in with a snap (pun intended). However, it seems like if you open the door too hard, the clip pops right out.


Any ideas or is this just going to be another thread people read over and don't answer?

try some jb weld or epoxy of some sort

 

gah...I had the same problem. i had to take all of the driver door insides off of the salvage door and put it on my door and now it works like a champ. My door latch assembly was totaly busted and it was $350 at the dealer and I got it for 25 good luck!

 

The fix was posted in June, and I just embellished it so, as you say, go

I'm okay with gently opening the door now...just have to inform passengers.


But I don't want to search...I want you to tell me the answer.
