hey guys, I bought a soarer with a 1jz its out of town so i have to drive far to pick it up, now the guy says the engine is flooded because he parked it for a long time and it was under freezing weather and he kept trying to turn it on while giving it gas therefore flooding the engine....so basically my question is, what tips can you guys give me to turn on the car?? I need to know before i head out there. Thanks in advanced.

Fuel Injected cars don't flood unless there are other issues, so bring lots of tools.

Any tips on how to start it? Things I should check?

This worked for me before, My engine was not cranking at all and no starter or anything. I opened up the engine fuse and relay box and Pulled the EFI relay and then put it back and VROOOM

Maybe back out of the deal until it the guy gets it running??

^^ I bought the car already my bud bought it first and it was running but he didn't want to make the trip so he sold it to me..now the guy that has it said it had been parked for few months and he tried to turn it on, it turns and everything but won't go on...any more ideas??

2. Sounds like there is no spark
3. Are you mechanically inclined?

I would start simple and check the battery or take a set of jumper cable.
