Default ebay turbo kits????

Did some search around and there are still tons of mixed reviews. Has anyone had any recent experience with these...I dunno if I trust them
I am only looking to make like 300hp nothing serious its still a daily driver.

I check ebay real quick and this popped up with 100 others

If you can't tell what's wrong with that "kit", then I'm sorry but you really shouldn't take on this project. Start here:

http://www.amazon.com/Maximum-Boost-...8866472&sr=8-1

And search extensively on the forums. Also, be prepared to spend around $3k for a reliable setup.

Your assumation is correct, sir.

What's your budget?

Even with 300-350~ish HP goals for a DD, you're still going to have to spend the money to make sure you get it right the first time.

And I'm sure you're heard all the saying:

"Don't Boost on a Budget"

"Gotta Pay to Play"

And so on and so on.

Besides, if it's a daily, you might as well save up the money to do it right while the car is out of commission.

Then again,m just my .02

No if you want any kind of decent power on this car you have to boost. But you absolutely have to know that what you posted wasn't a turbo kit and I would hope you could at least identify what is missing from it to even get to square one. Again, I think you have a LOT of reading ahead of you and I can't recommend that book enough so you can get a very good understanding of turbo systems before taking on a project like this. It will save you time, money, and headaches. Please take this constructively, I learned a lot through my own research over the years and try to impart as much wisdom that I picked up through the process as I can. Good luck to you man, and I'll get to my main point - you're probably about a year out from being ready to actually commit to buying anything related to boosting your car. Research, read, and absorb.

Yah I know basically nothing about turbos...just operations. I am deff gonna pick up that book and do some serious research. I want to do it the correct and safe way. Which sometimes is doing nothing at all and buy something already done.

I may have to pick up this book. I need to gain more knowledge on this kind of stuff before I boost my SC.

here ya go basic parts u WILL NEED and things to consider.

-turbo of your choice +flanges (T3 OR T4) (you get what you pay for)
-turbo oil feed line +flange(suggest also getting an IS300 UNION BOLT. made it easy)
-turbo oil retun line+flanges (going to have to drill into your oil pan, not hard)
-turbo manifold
-Downpipe
-intercooler piping and HIGH TEMP couplers (dont cheap out on couplers)
-T bolt clamps...(highly suggest you dont use the garden hose clamps)
-Blow off valve
-Wastegate
-injectors if you plan on making 300 to the ground...(440's most common to start)
-high pressure fuel pump (supra TT, WALBRO,etc...)
-Wideband afr gauge ( make sure your not to rich or lean = blown headgasket or worst)
-boost gauge
-Some kind of fuel management AFC (im running an AFC now but as soon as i can im changing over to a stand alone unit/ more reliable and so many more options)
-Change the Headgasket to lower compression highly recommended if you plan on pushing more than 10 psi.
-consider the condition of your transmission... i have 160500 miles on mine (auto) and im boosting about 8 - 10 psi daily and no problems...

AND THE BIGGEST THING....you have to have it installed and tuned, you can do it yourself but make sure you have about a week to play that drilling the oil pan can get messy if you drop the piece inside....and oh by the way its a pain in the butt to drop the oil pan so dont think "oh ill just drop the oil pan" lol... its more a of a hassle to do it just man up and take your time.

ALSO if you have any issues with your car i HIGHLY suggest you take care of them before you start this project because if you dont then you will start to wonder "well maybe its cause of the turbo kit that its doing whatever it is not suppose to be doing"

I can never enfisize how important it is for when u go boost to get a good tune. U can achieve great power or even 300 hp but without a tune its gonna blow up fast. And don't forget headstuds arp is a good brand and a good idea. But good luck man and check out the turbo kits on driftmotion.com... they have a to4z set up. Great turbo. But anybody got anyword on these kits? The kits r only 1500 so little worried.

I can no longer view the item on ebay but I'm assuming it was one of those generic turbo kits that had a crappy waste gate and didn't include any fittings or correct sized manifold.

Just go on club na-t website and read for about a week or two. You will be obsessed in a few weeks and will think about this stuff during your dreams.
