Hi guys

I have a renaissance red 98 sc with chrome wheels and just a lot of chrome on the outlines of the car. I was thinking about tinting all of the windows (obviously not the front windshield) but Im afraid that it will not look good. It looks good on white or black, but red? Let me know what you guys think... btw look in my garage for some more pics of it.

 

IMO tint makes any car regardless of color look better....i bought pre-cut tint off ebay for cheap and tinted the windows my self, the rear window is super hard but if you take your time with a heat gun you'll be alright

 

i agree. i think tint looks good on all cars regardless of color.
how dark are you trying to tint it too?

 

i have 5 % on my rear window, 15 % on the sides and 30 % on the windshield. it looks dope. Just do it.

 

Mine is tinted on the rear window and the 2 rear side windows. Its illegal to tint the 2 front side windows here.

 

I say 20% all around. Its safe in most states, looks dark but not like way dark. I have it on my white SC. JMO. The darker the tint on red, the better to me.

 

I had 15% all around on my old Renny Red I'll see if I can find some old pics btw it looked great

I have 35 (legal limit in MA) up front and 25 in the back...deff go 20 all around.


I tinted my windshield with a 6inch strip at 5% and it look sooo ghetto..I ripped it off the next day

 

I now have 15% on all my windows and 50% on my entire windshield and I love it. I know its not legal but Ive never had any trouble in the past 2 years. Here is my car from the outside and one from the inside showing how you can still see easily out the tinted windshield.

 

Here's my tint, its 25% which is legal on the quarters and back but not on the front windows. You can't tint your windshield in North Carolina without a prescription so I had to leave it alone.

 

I have run 5% all the way around and 50% on the windshield before. It was amazing. 50% on the front is awesome, makes a huge difference keeping heat out and also protects your interior by not letting any UV Rays in.

 

Thanks guys, I live in Illinois so Ill have to see what is legal in this state as it changed twice already in the recent years, or so I hear. I was thinking 20 all around. And if not then have 50 in the front. SHould have this done in the next month or two. Ill post some pics for you guys to see.

 

btw I changed my mind on the front windshield part as I stated that I would not do it in the thread
