sc400question

my 93 lexus sc400 wont turn over unless i give it gas an it runs fine once i do that but as soon as i let off the gas car turns off what can that be

ok well once i try to start the car it wont start unless i hit the gas pedal an once i do that the car runs gud but once i release the gas the car will turn off i checked fuel filter an its good belts are gud but i think it could be the throttle sensor

I have never heard this problem on an efi engine. We need more info. Does it just keep cranking when your off the throttle?

Sounds like iacv, or dirty/clogged air filter

like it wont idle it while try to crank everytime but wont crank unless i gibe i gas and when i give it gas it starts up and runs but when it get below 1000rpm it shuts off im able to drive as long as i keeep it above 1000rpm
