Old sc's don't need chip. As for keyless alarmsystem

 

The key issue on these cars are awful. My keyless entry just quit the other day. Neither key will lock or unlock the car, Changed both batteries, still nothing. Changed the computer chip in a new ECU out of the same year car and still nothing. The key inserted and the radio tuned to 95.1 and it makes the radio go quiet. I know its sending the signal but cant get a new chip from Lexus unless you buy new keys. Its highway robbery in this case. It seems that you should be able to buy just the chip. ????

I posted this a few days ago, this where to get your keys from without paying Lexus money. As for programming, the regular cheap key doesn't need programming and there is a procedure for doing the keyless entry key posted in an old thread here.

they will cut the key wen they send it save you time finding someone to cut it
