Alright i got a 92 sc300 around 3 weeks ago and i have not drove it at all yet.. i start it up every third day or so for 5 mins and everytime i start it it leaves out smoke and and every time i rev it leaves out smoke as well.. Could it be cause its a cold start.
Its probably nothing, it takes a few minutes for the cats to light and until they do there are unburned hydrocarbons in the exhaust, giving it a gasoline smell. There is also some moisture in the exhaust system which is a byproduct of the cats also. When the car first starts the exhaust hasn't reached optimal temperature and the moisture in the system comes out in a visible vapor, as things heat up the exhaust will be able to carry the water vapor without it being visible.
Does it stop after its warmed up(smoke and smell)? It may be CONDENSATION. Reason why the car smells when you first start it is its probably still in open loop. After a few minutes idling, warming up it should not smoke or smell as much as it did at cold starts.
Yeah probably just condensation. What is your outside air temperature like when you starting it up. Not sure of the spark plug arrangement on the sc300s. The v8's have spark plug tubes that run through the top of the valve cover. The seals on these tubes will start to leak after some years. On mine the oil was getting past the plug somehow.like I said, I am not sure wha you have but you might want to make sure.
