Default Dead SC300 :(

So i've been through 3 batteries and an alternator since august and today i just had to have it towed home again costing me another 100+ dollars..... heres the real problem when i brake or use the flasher all the lights dim or cut out, i think its the alternator again but not so sure since i just changed it two months ago, and whatever it is keeps draining my battery!!! and im positive its not my battery because the light turns on but i may be wrong. If not i guess i could just throw a new motor in and hope for better days right? oh yeah i do have a leak little leak of oil coming from cylinder head cover could this be it causeing the alternator to be fried???

bad grounds could very well be your culprit especially the one that goes from the alternator to the battery. have u checked its continuity?

how about dirty/bad wiring, and not necessarily main components like alt. or batt? consider sears auto - they do a quick power check for you right then and there and if they fix it for you the diagnosis is free. but don't change the motor ($$$$$) w/o being 100% sure. i'm so sorry to hear the trouble ur going thru, i can just imagine. good luck

I do experience this problem from time to time myself as well, I might as well check the wires near the alternator, Good looking out!

Also, check the base of your distributer. The o-ring at the bottom tends to leak oil onto the alternator and gum it up. 6 months after I bought my car the alternator went out. Then a year later the alternator went again because it was gummed up with oil. Changed it again, changed the o-ring and no problems since.
