Ok guys so i have been having problems with figuring out what tranny i have. My car will not upshift out of first gear no matter what, After some research i decided to go back under car and i have looked around and noticed a plug dangling, has one pink an done violet wire 2 plug. Did more research this plug is the out put signal to the second speed sensor(speed sensor #2) which controls shifting, So viola thats why my car isnt shifting bc it isnt getting a signal. Speedo works, so number 1 is right and working. Now what the hell comes in as there is absolutly no place to plug the second sensor in. What tranny do i have, and i cant read the serial number on the transmission. And please don tsay are you sure theres not a place for it. I dropped the tranny down and there is no place on top for the sensor. so my question is how do i get signal to my tranny to tell it to shift????? do i need to find another tailhousing which has the sensor on it? please help guys

It would help first to post what engine. Are you running the 1JZ? Stock 2JZ? How long has it been doing this? Did you just get the swap done? Who did the harness conversion? Was it done properly?

 

1jz chaser engine, harness dun by tweak. bought the car with swap already installed but was running or finished. today was first time it has been driven. was done professionly yes. there is no where on the tranny to plug in the second speed sensor?

 

Ok, have done a bit of reading, and seems that the JZX90 came with the a341e, but I have also found some argumentative info stating its a possible a342e transmission.


There has to be a plate somewhere on the transmission and it will simply either state:

Aisin 30-41LE

OR

AFAIK A341LE or A342LE

But what I would do, if you know for a fact that the harness was done by Phoenix Tuning, contact them and explain the issue to them that you have an extra plug and the transmission inst shifting.

That might not have been much help, but hopefully someone can clarify on the transmission a bit more.

 

What tranny are you running? the stock SC300 trans of the 1jzgte auto trans?

 

it is definately Aisin 30-41LE i couldnt read the 0 but thats what im guessing the next number is on the blue serial tag. So what does this mean ? i still cant find a location for a second speed sensor on that tranny. without that sensor or a signal my tranny will not shift.

 

Preston, what's up Buddy? I have a 1j tranny but would not be able to get to it until tommorrow to see the model # and how many plugs/harness is on it. Will post some info as soon I get it.

ok guys so ive eben researching so do i have the supra tt auto tranny in my sc? is there a location or a way to wire in the output singal to shift gears from the second speed sensor?

 

ok more research done i guess i have the jdm 1jz tranny. Still there is no place for a second speed sensor. ANy one have a clue how they got their 1jz tranny to work in their sc300? theres no plug or sensor on that tranny for the second sensor.

thanks eldon ok son soarer central they are saying that the a341e came in the chaser which makes sense as i have the chaser motor. also found another guy on the forum who said he did the swap in his jza80 and had one little two plug hanging yest his works fine. im gunna set this car on fire.

 

Ever get your problem figured out? I'm going to be putting a 1jz trans in my SC300 soon and don't want to run across any problems but I'm keeping my 2jz so I might be ok

 

Revived. This has to be addressed so everyone doesn't get mad, and Manual swap the car!

I also have an A340e, and would like to know how to get it wired.
