I heard that iridium spark plugs were better than platinum plugs. But I havent been able to find any iridiums that will go on my 92 SC300. If anyone knows were to find them please let me know. THANKS
Since I bought my first Lexus I have not bothered to worry about spark plugs in any manner. Most new cars have direct coil on plug electronic ignition (no distributor) and spark plugs that are supposed to last for 100k miles.
These days with technology being what/where it is it's likely that any major brand spark plug will be just as good as another.

Actually it does make a difference between spark plugs types and brands. Iridiums can take higher temperatures (hint: racing) and thanks to strength of the material the manufacturers make a finer tip of the spark plug, which allows a bigger spark. Generally iridium spark plugs are more reliable and more expensive. I bought my Denzo Iridiums for $15 each. HKS also makes some good iridium spark plugs but it's also expensive. Denzo makes most of the SC ignition system, so for me Denzo felt like a natural choice.

PS. Some Lexus cars come with Denzo Iridiums, so why degrade your car with cheap stuff?
