DAMN! That has to be the RAREST SC ever! 5-speed, clothe seats, and no moonroof! The description says moonroof, but I swear at least four of those pics show there is no moonroof. That's a rare find man!

I bet $$$ that the prior owner didn't want to pay the Ke-aaaash to replace the leather seats that were worn; so they had it re-done in cloth. Only costs about 300-400$ as opposed to well over a thousand.

Could have beeen an insurance vandalism scam. Car got broken into, and leather was messed up - insurance dished out the money but the owner took the money and ran...and installed cloth seats.

I think cloth interiors were only available between 90 and 92; and the SC wasn't one of the models that had it as an option. Like the 90 ES250 had cloth option.

I have seen 2 SC's with cloth and no moon roof a few years ago and thought WTF? I just look through the 92 brouchure and they were available in Ivory fabric and gray fabric. In the 95 brochure Ivory fabric was also a choice. Cant imagine why someone would not choose leather.

Scott (T51R) has tan cloth interior. I felt it and it seemed pretty comfortable. Its not cheap a$$ cloth (like what is found in my 4Runner) but is very soft cloth

Judging from the fact that its a 5 speed with no moonroof ( i think) and cloth interior, i believe the owner just didnt get ANY options at all! hey maybe he didnt have the cash back then..heh..looks like its in ok shape though.

I think cloth was standard on many of the 2.5 and 3.0 Soarers, but have never seen it on a US car. I saw one "plain jane" '94 SC4 when I was shopping (very clean car, btw) that had leather but no moonroof, no traction, no heated seats, base Pioneer stereo - its owner was 6'3", didn't miss the moonroof a bit...

LOL, I just saw today a 99 GS 300 with grey cloth interior. Looked extremely plush not to mention comfortable like my living room.

I once read that in the Japanese domestic market, many buyers actually prefer cloth (very nice velours, not something that's burlap-like and looks like it came out of an old pickup truck), for its feel. I think even a decent proportion of Celsiors have cloth in Japan. And I did see a 91 LS400 on eBay with cloth (it was OEM, not a re-upholstery). It was in Phoenix, perhaps the original owner didn't want to burn him/her self on hot leather in the 110 degree heat
