Default Trickle Charge?

Need some advice from all you Lexus pros., I'm going to have my 1994 Lexus SC400 sit for about a week while I go on a little vacation and my question is, should I disconnect the battery, leave it alone and it will be all right, or buy a trickle down charger? Thanks in advance for the expert advice.

a week should be fine...top up your fuel and enjoy your vacation. A week is nothing.

a battery tender wouldn't be a bad idea. i wouldn't feel safe leaving it on a constant 2amp trickle charge tho.

If you have one handy use it. If you not, don't worry about it. You car will be alright for the short time.

go get a battery tender, those things absolutely rock. Ive left my car on a battery tender for over a year and it starts up like brand new every time.

Unless your battery is a very weak one, a week is nothing. Not even close to being a concern.

^^ totally agree

With a healthy electrical system, this is hands down a non-event.

And, even if you think you might have a "leaky" electrical system, you could always just pull one of the battery cables off to open the circuit while you are gone. But even still, a week is nothing! If your battery went dead in a week, then you got significant problems that need to be fixed.

Thanks for all the help, I'll just leave it alone because nothing is wrong with the electrical system now so it should be O.K. Thanks again.
