Default brake light on dash keeps showing up, but brake isn't on?

For about a month now, the e-brake light on the dash keeps coming on and coming off for some reason.. my brakes seem fine, so im wondering what it is.. is this a normal sc problem?

That's how mine was. I added to the full line and the problem was gone.

If you fill it up and it and it gets low again, check the calipers. I had the same problem and a caliper was leaking brake fluid.

fill your fluid..below full is not full. also like 4ev said, check for leaks anywhere, and be sure that the sensor is plugged in properly on the master cylinder.

Wait . . . the OP said the "e-brake" light was on.
Is there a parking brake indicator on the 400's?
If so, then it's different than the regular brake fluid level light. It would be most likely a mechanical switch on the brake lever, wouldn't it?

good catch...could be that the e-brake is pulled up very slightly, or the switch needs to be adjusted.

Same warning light is used for both parking brake and low fluid level. Top off brake fluid first and see if it goes out, then move on to the harder stuff.

check a wheel sensor. while drifting, i noticed that the tire blew off and took out a sensor (as the tire wrapped around the spindle)
