This is my first Lexus. Ive been driving with a horribly worn clutch for the past seven or so months. Its 92 SC 300. I was planning on selling it but figured it has more potential than anything else I can afford right now. Now the problem is that I cant find a basic flywheel anywhere. Just asking for any ideas on where I can find one and as well I could use any pointers to help replacing it. First time Im really working ona car myself. I have a couple of friends who know what there doing but everyone can take advice from more expierienced people. Thanks.

if its an oem flywheel there is a chance you can just get it resurfaced.
most transmission shops should be able to take care of that if you drop it off.

your clutch is probably done. that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with your flywheel.
they are 2 different parts, usually it needs to be inspected and measured, and if its still good you can resurface it.

go oem if you can afford it. check on the price at toyota for a n/a mk4 supra, it will probably be lower than the lexus price.

i ordered my flywheel new from the dealer for about 275. beware that it doesnt come with dowell pins. i ended up reuseing the old ones. i had to take a grinder to cut the ring gear off the old flywheel and use a punch and a 3lb hammer to take out the dowel pins.
