LOL!!! 5 lug??? hahaha

You cannot compare the two stock. Completely different price ranges and classes.

If anyone thinks thier stock SC is fast they are sadly mistaken. Same for 240sx.

A better comparison is a Soarer vs. GTS-T

Stop judging cars by thier owners that's just childish. Pulling up to a light chillin in leather with your girl? For real? There are so many cars that are much nicer and faster than both the 240 and the SC.

That being said, a GTE in a 240 is a winning combination.

It's funny to see the mindset of owners of different cars. On Soarer and 240sx forums you see threads like "I just broke into the 11's" or "750 whp dyno run on low boost." on Lexus/SC forums you see threads like "I just painted my leather black." or "what color should my calipers be???" "What sub works with my flip up DVD and Nakamichi amp??"

and on a supra forum, you see "TRACTION IS A BI**H" threads... lol

what's your point

apples to apples, oranges to oranges... 240 is a street tuner, sc is a luxury sport coupe designed for cruising in comfort and style... but to turn that luxury coupe into a street demon as well is having the best of both worlds... at the end of the day, one is in a fast nissan, while the other is in a luxurious lexus...

I'd go with the SC400 definitely, especially if you don't want to put the money down to boost it. I got my car because I wanted a manual, if not, I would definitely pick up an SC400, it's got a decent amount of power stock, it's torquey and is a very nice cruiser.

Long live the SC!!!

It all comes down to the priorities of the driver.

On the street, speed doesn't really matter, unless you want to get ticketed and your car impounded for street racing.

IMO and many other people in this community agree, the SC is a fine mixture of luxury, class AND speed (if modded). The only real thing the 240 has going for it is speed with it's light weight chassis and cheaper parts ($$ wise). I'd rather sit in a car in comfort and style than have sheer power. That's why I laugh at people with completely stripped Civics and 240s, why? Because it's a horrible car to sit in through traffic as a DD. If they use that car as a track car and have a different DD, my viewpoints are much different.

What goes wrong on your sc? just curious cause nothing has gone wrong with mine yet, i only have like 60k miles though.

tomorrow i am getting a 94' sc400 for $2900 from florida(high miles 170,xxx) and i am coming from a s13 coupe with a sr20de+t(na motor with a turbo) and i must say i cant wait to buy the sc just because im tired of zipping around town loud everywhere. but i do know im going to miss spinning through 2nd and half of third but i will at least have me some a/c!!!!!! i doubt i will do anything to the car prob not even rims or anything im getting this car because another thing with the 240's are there are addicting money pits im tired of it!!! im glad i got out before i painted it and got a body kit or something. i will be back though! but next time in a s14 definitely

i think its impossible to compare the two cars.

240 s13/s14 - aggressive
sc300/400 - smooth

Hey anyways I love both and that's why I enjoy the best of both.

My 240 is 10 times faster the. Any of my Sc's but it's also not as equiped.

Does anyone know what the weight of the Sc300 is ?? Found it 3,569 lbs PIG status and well my 240 about 2800/2900 lbs

but I won't compare watermelons to Appel's

I dont have a 240 anymore, I wanted something different,
philadelphia is packed with 240s, and mind you, I barely read any of this thread, just the first few comments,

240 is super light compared to this, my sr20det was fun,
and had tons of parts for it, but I am really digging a stock 1uz,
though mods will happen, if your into drifting prepare to flick a lot
harder and deal with much more body roll, also understeer is crazy
with the sc400,

this is just my 2 cents, I miss my 240, but all these sc400s and 300s
are just so much more sexy.
