Default jacking technique ...no homo

I just want to know how most people here jack up their cars and put them on jack stands with being so low or with after market kit, side skirts mainly.

Before my kit I just jacked up by driving onto bricks, then jacking up on the side jack points. One side at a time.

Now since I have side skirts (shine), i couldnt fit a jack under even with a brick. So I made a ramp with more bricks. Basically drive up one brick, then put 2 more nest to it and drive up the two. I just have to be really careful going back back down or my front bumper gets F'ed up from the 2 brick being higher than the height of my bumper to the ground.

I recently bought a LOW profile jack to try lifting front the side without using bricks but it doesnt work. the jack hits the sideskirt before touching the frame of the car.

Im just wondering how everyone else does it, and if there is a easier way Im missing?

i used a race jack before my car was bagged. if it still doesnt fit, maybe jack up the car from the tow hooks instead of the side?

Im gonna try a piece of wood on top of the jack pad.

Its even harder being im trying to do work in the garage of my apartment. The contract states I cant do auto work in the garage so Im doing everything with the door closed.

Once I get my house Im buying once of these ASAP

Yeah I thought about removing the skirt but figured its not worth the hassle. One of my skirts is loose now since the jack jacked part of it up, the middle double sided tape is loose and wont stick. I have to get it fixed when the car goes back in for paint.

Also For the wood blocks make sure you put in slots or notches like licelsior said for the pinch welds. After jack my car up with a regular jack, the pinch welds on my sc are bent all over the place! Im gonna be trying to put slots on the wood blocks I use.

I do this too, it's slow and a pain but it works. I don't even have sideskirts but the car is so damn low that even a racing jack has no hope of fitting.

Never thought of this, might try it next time if I can fit under the hooks.

If you can't fit a stock scissor jack under there, there is no way a swing arm from hydraulic jack like that will fit either...

By the way... wow only $1500 for that!?!!!!!! Me wants!!!!!

yeah, the prices on lifts have gone down a bit. wish i could've gotten that one but it wouldnt fit in the garage so we got this one instead. makes fluid flushes and exhaust work easier.

Make a small ramp, get some 2x4s(anything really that can support the weight) drive the cars front wheels up onto the two plat forms and it will give you enough room to slide the jack under. Jack the car up and pull the 2x4's or w.e you used out from under the wheels.
