Default Coilover purchase situation...

Hey guys, I found some JIC magic coilovers for sale at a good price. The only thing is that 2 of them need to be rebuilt. I checked the JIC site for rebuild prices and they are kind of high per unit. I would like to know if JICs are worth being rebuilt? Thanks in advanced.

JIC customer service is almost nonexistent. How much are they charging per unit?

Good luck, getting stuff rebuilt through them can be a real hassle.

It's usually a lot easier to just get something new.

If you need help feel free to PM us.

Supposedly only JIC Japan is going bankrupt. JIC USA has been a separately company. They have different owner and operations. The liquidation that JIC USA had was for parts that were imported from Japan. JIC are now designing and manufacturing their products here in the US, but you can still get them serviced here.

not worth it. get something new or, if used, something that will be either local or good reputation for great customer service.

Yeah. I am saving up for a set of Stance GR+. But i came across that sale for the JIC and after reading up on some older threads most people seemed satisfied with their performance. I guess ill just keep saving. I should be there in another month or two anyway. Thanks for the input guys.

I almost bought those too. After pricing it out, it was not worth it. Did he say which are blown?

Na, it was a little weird now i think about it. He just said that his mechanic said that 2 were going to needed to be rebuilt. But oh well. I talked to him for a little bit and turns I have seen his car around the Orlando area as well. Seems like a cool guy. I am not sure if he is on CL tho.....

I am looking for something that can be daily driven but also can be reliable at the track since I am attempting to start drifting in my sc.
