Default MPH Unlimited Headers Released!!!

Hello everyone,

A few months ago we posted that we will be making headers for the SC300 and they are finally ready.

We dynoed our headers on a stock car today and we gained 17hp and 11.2 pounds of torque. We had an exhaust leak between our headers and the stock downpipe due to a miss matched flange that will be fixed tomorrow. Even with a leak we managed to gain a fair amount of horsepower. Expect to gain over 20hp to the wheel and over 15 pounds of torque without any sort of leaks.

Al

one can only hope... but it seems like our sc4's always gets shafted when it comes to aftermarket...

I do recall someone had aftermarket headers for the sc4 but i'm sure it was custom work and not in mass production or anything... wonder how much hp he got from it??

Curious, would the SC400, GS400, and LS400 headers all be the same? What about the SC300, IS300, and GS300? If they are all compatible, I think it'd be worthwhile for MPH Unlimited to develop a 1UZ-FE header .

Also, what effect do headers have on the exhaust sound? I remember when my buddy installed headers on his Prelude, there was somewhat of a throaty droning sound at higher rpm.

We will have 2 versions of the headers, one that will fit the SC300 and the 93-97 GS300. The 2nd version will fit the IS300 and 98- up GS300.

We didnt forget the SC400, we just started out with the 300's first.

We will be looking for a GS400, LS400 and an SC400 in order to make headers for those cars and see if we can make one set of headers that will fit all.

Once we will be ready to make them for the 400's we will post on here and see if there is anyone who is willing to volunteer their car for a few days.

The headers for the SC300 will change the exhaust tune, it will be louder and more aggressive sounding, but not annoying. We will provide gaskets and all hardware necessary. At higher RPM's the car sounds solid and has no throaty droning sound, just sound like you have an after market exhaust system on it.

If anyone has any questions please e-mail me at sales@mphunlimited.com or call me at (805)557-1001.

Thanx. AL

Al,
A few of us SC300 guys are interested in a quality log style cast manifold for turbo application. Something that will bolt to the 2JZ head and accept say a t60-1 turbo. Are there any plans from your company to develope something like this. I would be willing to invest 1,000$. I don't know about the others, but I'm sure there are a few whom are looking for options. Let us know what you/MPH unlimited think.

Thanks,
AJ
