Default Scuffed chrome airbag emblem

Ahhh... so my airbag emblem is not in the best shape and I can see the plastic under. What should I do? Just paint over it? I like how it's chrome.. should I try chrome vinyl wrap?

from what i remember on the GS forums, painting it or dealing with it are about the only options, or vinyl like you said.

they sell some airbag lexus chrome "L" on ebay, but they don't fit the airbags that came stock with it.

The chrome emblems they use inside the car isn't as strong as the exterior emblems.
I had such a hard time sanding the front bumper emblem to prep it for black paint I had to use a D/A sander to scuff the surface.

If that's the thing you're worried most about on your car, then....

Just keep it how it is. Looks fine.

I'm a perfectionist sometimes when it comes down to detail, right now there's a lot more things that I'm worried about before this steering wheel. I'd rather do something that can either cover it up / make it look better instead of leaving it as is, but thanks

I'm not going to buy another air bag for an emblem.. lol, not at that point. If I buy another wheel / airbag it will probably be the TRD wheel.

BY THE WAY, I can't actually use the air bag since the car never came with one.

lol i hear that, even little things like that drive me crazy, i'm so vain I won't even drive my car if it's dirty lol, it's pollen season right now and i have to hit my car with a california duster before i pull out the driveway everytime. here in the south you can wash your car and 4 hrs later it's covered in yellowish/greenish pollen again during this time of year.

don't have any pics of mine with pollen, but this is what everyones car looks like when they get up in the morning, and it will look like this again by the time you get off work.
