Exclamation Tanabe Sustec Pro's Dilemma

Hey everyone, recently (about a month ago) i came up on a great deal on some Tanabe Sustec Pro's that i couldn't pass up. I basically bought these with ignorance, knowing very little about them. And i haven't had the time to installl them yet. So here's the questions, anyone out there currently using them on their SC? If so, how do you like them? Can a great drop be achieved with these coils? thanks

Could you be more specific as to which Tanabe Coilovers you have? It might help with more specific advice.
I have the Sustec Pro SS first generation which used helper springs, and yes you can slam the bejesus out of an SC or MK4 on them (I have them on my MK4 right now, and Megans are on the SC300)

Now, I found these puppies to be on the stiffer side of what I'd prefer, I got them as a set complete with 2 sets of springs from another Supra owner that replaced them with a set of Tein Flex.
Out of the box they came with a 16kg/12kg set, and those springs had been replaced with 12kg/8kg and while it is much better with the softer springs, it's still on the stiff side regardless of the dampening adjustment. If you're trying to slam the crap out of a car and minimize suspension travel to avoid rubbing/scraping then these would work great. Though, I personally wouldn't lower a MK4 Supra more than about 1.5 inches or an SC about 2 inches because of how much it changes the suspension geometry and the camber curve.
Other than that, they are definitely high-quality units and the while it doesn't have a bajillion dampening adjustment points (I think the fronts are 8 and the rears are 4) the adjustment actually makes a consistent and predictable difference between shocks, unlike what I've experienced with cheaper coilovers like Ksport and D2.

Just wodnering... trying to search the SC model lol
yes.

sc and supra coilover are interchangeable.

also the front coilovers from 2g gs also work.

1g gs coils are also an option.

^^I actually bought them off of a friend of mine. Im not sure where he got em from

UPDATE: I GOT THE COILS ON MY CAR!!!!!!! WOHOOO!!!!!! lol, even though the ride is pretty bumpy, i love it! I love my car sooo much more now. I finally realize that coilovers work wonders on a car. I only dropped the front an inch, but the car is pretty low. Will take pics tomorrow and post up
