"E" spec headlights
I can't seem to find any new threads on this. I know that the 97+ lights perform better and there is posts on that subject. E spec is superior to anything that meets SAE. No question. Can we purchase E spec from Canada? What would be the source?

"E" spec is and abreviation for European Spec or Euro spec. I am sorry for the confusion and I am amazed that something that is common knowledge elsewhere is unknown here. I thin this is a statement of the high quality of even SAE lights in our Lex's or trust me there would be a scramble. The 97+ is most probably meeting E spec...don't know.
Our SAE spec headlights are not legal in E spec countries. They are only legal in Canada, US and Mex as far as I know. They are not legal because they allow to much light to splatter into the vision of on coming traffic. They are not focused by design and that makes no sense. All the cars that are made domestic and are sold overseas have E spec in the export model and SAE in the domestic.
I am fishing in the wrong pond, it appears.
Thanks for all you comments.
