Default Power Surge

My mom called me the other day and said her 92 SC400 wanted to keep accelerating even though her foot was on the brake. My first question was to see if she might have had her foot on both the gas and brake pedal. She said she was wearing UGG boots, but was sure that was not the case. I also asked her if her mat could've gotten stuck, but she said that was her first thought so she pulled it back and the RPMs kept rising. She threw it in park and turned the car off. She said she restarted it and it drove home fine. The car sits a lot so not sure if that might have anything to do with it? If anyone has had a similar experience or might have an idea what this could be please let me know.

Well these are still drive by cable cars so you should replace or check the cable for tension and hanging up.
