Steering wheel off center
Just received my 92 sc400 back from the dealer having a used steering wheel installed.
Now it seems that the wheel is turned a little to the right off dead center when driving straight. Not off a lot, just annoying.
Could the wheel be installed off a notch( is there splines when installing that could account for this)? If so, is this something I could remedy without taking it back to the dealer?
Possibly some other cause?

Most likely just off a notch.
The easy way - There are access panels on either side of the steering wheel with 2 screws each. Undo these and carefully remove the air bag. Remove the nut holding the wheel on and use a steering wheel puller to remove it. You may be able to rent one for free from autozone. I think the kit is like $10.
Another option is to unbolt the steering shaft from the rack. This can be a pain to get back in place though so I recommend just removing the steering wheel yourself.

its possible that when they put it back on, the wheels were turned slightly off center, and cause the wheel to be based off center, I know if it really bugs you can go to a nappa or someplace, borrow a steering wheel puller and redo it.

I completely replaced the suspension not long ago, including the Gixxer-Drew spring/shock setup.
Had everything aligned properly, including making sure the steering wheel was straight, when finished.
I did not drop the car during this install. I bought it new in '91 and now have 265,000 miles. Just really like this car and want it to be right. I will probably talk with the dealer about it, and if they balk then do it myself.
I enjoy tinkering with this car anyway, and all the help from this forum makes it possible.

Take it back to the dealership and have them correct the problem. They put the steering wheel on wrong. There is no reason why you should have to correct their mistake by doing it yourself.

I just had my car aligned and they said they couldn't fix the steering wheel (still sitting at 45 degrees to the right). Is this something they or I can fix by adjusting the outer tie rods?
That alignment shop it full of crap. The first step in an alignment to to center the steering wheel then lock the steering wheel in place with a special tool. So when they are tweaking the settings on the suspension, the steering wheel does not move. Take it back to the alignment shop so they can properly align your car again.
Gah that sucks. I knew he had to be lying, he said because I lowered the car I would need to buy shorter tie rods lol. Also said the rear arm bolts to adjust the toe is frozen on there so he could't do that. Each side is something like .5* but it went from a + number to a - number?
