Question Weird issue.

So about 2 Sundays ago someone tried to break into my car at 4am. Which is a bad idea because my car is parked right outside my window at my house. Never had any problems like this before. Well around 4am the alarm starts going off I jump out of bed and arm myself. Also wake my bro up before walking outside, to check on what's going on while my dogs are barking at something. Lights are on, and the dash lights along with my CD player are on which is odd to me. Well I go grab my keys to open the car get in a start it up, starts fine. But, when I go to turn the car off all of the lights and electrical stay on. Pulled the battery thinking ok reset the ecu and it'll be fine. Nope not true got up the next day gave the car power and everything came back on. I went and drove the car down to Nola to see if after drving it would fix it, and at that point it did. Well while hanging out at meet with a friend leaning against my car it starts to do it again out of nowhere, after the alarm starts going off. So the car has been sitting in the driveway and I don't want to take it to the dealership. Was wondering if any of you had an idea of what the problem would be possibly.

Lights, CD players, Gauges, and all stay on like the key is turned to the on position but the engine isn't running.

Well there was a fresh hand print on the window, the only reason I noticed it is because of the lack of condensation that was in the form of a hand print.

hmm, you think if someone did try to get in that they messed with the underneath electronics under the steering wheel to try to turn the alarm off, etc. That's the only thing that came to mind, sorry.

Is the cig lighter fuse in the kick panel loose? If the fuse is removed on mine at least the radio will stay on. Its the second from the back in the middle row I believe.

I don't know if they got all the way in or if and when they tried the window alarm went off and they ran. Because all of my dog were positioned at the back corner of my yard, which is fenced in, barking at something on the other side. I checked the wiring since I lowered my car but that wasn't the issue all of the wiring is intact.

I'll check some more things to see if, I can get the problem to stop for now and just install an aftermarket alarm in the car.
