Default E-brake adjustments?

Is there a way to adjust the e-brake so that it isnt pointing to the roof by the time its nice and safely doing its job?

dont think im pulling with all my might on it, because im not.
but it literally wont function unless its way high up there...any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

the adjuster in on each side of the rear brake assembly.

you can also do fine adjustment at the handle if you remove the leather boot.

look in the FSM.

good point about the fine adjustment at the handle.
you can only adjust so much at the handle before it bottoms out and works all wierd.
if yours is pointing at the sky, you may need to adjust at the rear brakes.
I did it at the handle just to pass a safety inspection once, and it just barely held the car at a stop. it worked but i wasn't satisfied with that.

also had the same problem before....
but there should be a bolt right under the e-brake boot you can just go ahead and tighten it and from my belief will no longer be reaching for the sky.

to soaringsc3: it may not be pointing to the sky, but will it grab?

Default Brake info

go to www.militarytuners.com. There is a sticky for the online manual and the adjustment is on page br-11. It will also show you the rear e-brake adjustment. Good luck
