i went to a local yard today and found a 93 SC400. gray interior and silver spruce, or w/e its called, paint. the body was beat up but mechanically in very good shape.

i ended up taking a few things off of it. got a stock front lip. has only one small crack in it.

the car also had goodridge stainless steel brake lines. they were pretty much new

also removed a muffler hanger. i broke mine last time at a drift day. lol.

then i found a 92 es300 and it had all of its gauge cluster needles. i snagged those too.

the lip is installed on the car. the brake lines are going on tomorrow. took apart the gauge cluster and replaced the needles. the tach and speedo needles are same between the SC and ES. the temp and fuel are different size. one of the big needles was bad so i put a small temp needle as my speedometer needle.

now i can see my speed and my rpm

total cost of ss lines, sc400 lip, muffler hanger, and cluster needles.......10 bucks

I haven't hit up the junkyards in a while. I used to be there every week when I had my 240sx. I used to see plenty SC's back then. I still see them now but not as much.

I had to use www.car-part.com to find the one local to me. only one sc in the state in a junkyard . lol

 

Lucky you, unfortunately I never run into any SC's at my local junkyards.

When you ask about lip around here, they say they saw one once a long time ago!!!Bought one from private party for $180 (took four months to find it.)that needs some work and only had the center retainer. Congrats!

 

$10 for all that?!? how do they make any money...? lol.

 

big update!!!

went sliding in the rain today. cracked the lip on the left side. definitely need better front tires. damn pirelli assymetricos suck ***.

the lip is already fixed with 2 zipties. now it matches the rest of the car. without zipties it looked too good for the car

 

Amazing finds for $10. Even though it's ziptied I still wanna see your car with the lip.
