I swap out my 99 SC300 Steering for the IS300 and could not be happier. I am with evileagle on the IS300 Steering Wheel Swap.

I got my wheel and airbag from the same guy on ebay. I got a killer deal at like $150 shipped...but to be honest, even at $250, id still pay it. It's that nice....

The airbag I got came with the wheel, and it was a single stage. Just make sure to get a wheel off an earlier model IS. All I have to do was swap the end connectors on the airbag and thats it.

You will need to use your stock cruize control **** tho.........too much of a pita to make the IS one work.

I would look for a is300 5-speed wheel because for those who have a 5-speed sc, the up and down shift buttons are kinda dumb looking IMO. Unless you have them linked to a trans brake, line lock or some spray...

For the airbag I used a special connector I ordered through Toyota who got it from Japan. Its an adapter harness. Took 2 months to get here. LoL.

I would like to install on my SC 300-97 steering wheel with wooden stakes and a smaller diameter.
From what model Lexus steering wheel with wooden stakes can be installed on my SC 300-97?
Do I need an adapter for this?

not sure if all USDM steering wheels are the same but i know that the Altezza has a Carbon-Fiber wheels that have red stiching

the IS wheel was easily one of my favorite mods and was so cheap and easy to do. I still need to paint my steering column so it blends better w/ the tan interior.
