I've only had the car for a few months but I've added a bottle of techron to the gas (always use 93), new k&n filter, battery/terminals, plugs/wires, new cap, new rotor, valve cover gaskets, oil/filter, the clutch and timing belt were done just before I got it, I'm going to change out the trans/brake, diff, and coolant fluids next at once.
I guess I'll add fuel filter to the list, that could def. be it.
on my old jeep it was a faulty gas cap and a few vaccum leaks that made it take for ever to start. my sc3 just hit 180k today and still starts right up as it should
I think that what I am saying as taking too long to start is that I hear it turn over a few times before it does. I've had other cars where just as you turn the key it's on and you have to let go of the key fast to not grind the starter on the flywheel. This car seems to take a second where some others Ive had were instant.
There's probably nothing wrong with my car, I bet it starts like ya'lls
Check your distributor rotor. I have the same symptom, it'll takes slightly longer to start. Pop open the distributor cap one day and found the rotor was abit fried. So I went ahead and replaced the distributor cap and rotor. Instantly felt the difference, the car seems stronger and idle more smoother.

I forgot to add that I have a brand new toyota stock cap and rotor too
Mine also looked fried but the new one didn't have any better results
when was the starter replaced last? did the car come with that maintenance record? It probably shouldnt affect "instant start" as much as the other electrical items, but maybe they replaced it with a cheaply rebuilt one.
