How do you make your window motors quieter?
Hey guys,
After riding around in my friends' cars, I noticed that their windows go down and up SUPER smooth, without any whine from the motor.
My windows make a LOT of noise, and my passenger's side window goes up as slow as molasses. It's not the motor, it's more likely the track.
Does anyone have any tips or tricks to make the window motors less audible and faster operating? It's really getting to me that my "luxury car" has crappier operating window motors than my friend's Toyota Yaris.
Any suggestions at all would be appreciated.

I have thought about this as well. Maybe fitting a new motor from another vehicle would work? Ordering a new one or find a wreck and buy them swap it into the SC, can't be that much of a wiring hassle can it?
I've tried using grease, but it didn't make much difference. Both motors and tracks were shot when I got the car, I put a good set in from aliga, but I get a lot of binding when the passenger's side goes about halfway up. I'll try to adjust the track a bit and grease it up, but honestly I don't know how to make it so it goes up as smooth as a new car.

I will be diving into this project soon enough since my whoel assembly took a ****.. I would just have the track outa the car, remove the motor and move the mechanism manually and see how it moves, check where it binds, and grease everything, and clean and grease the tracks...
Also, not sure if u can on these motors, but if u can take it apart like some, take it apart and clean the inside with electrical parts cleaner, take out the motor armature unit and clean it all off and use a light grit sandpaper to clean it, and put it all back together.
PS. Idid notice that on my car when the window went down that it catches a lil rubber from the window so it slows it a little... Check that too it could be an issue
