Hey guys I have a 93 SC400 with Tokico Blues and stock springs. I just put on my 19" wheels and I have 235/35 in the front and 245/35 in the back with an offset in the low 40s I believe. Right now my car has about a 4 inch wheel gap in the front and maybe 2 inch in the back. I was looking into getting some lowering springs and I want to be able to go the lowest without any fender rolling/camber kit or anything like that and I also wanted a bigger drop in the front than in the back. Which springs would be ideal for my setup? Thanks for reading!

Checkout Espelir springs. Not sure how long your shocks would last though.

 

Thats right, sorry, I get the 2 E's confused. Espelir is the biggest drop

 

Why is it that Espelir springs put the most pressure on shocks? Is there something that might not be as big of a drop but would make my shocks last longer or is it that the lower you are the more wear it is on the shocks?

Also will SC300 Espelir ASDs fit an SC400? I found a set online for a pretty decent price and was wondering if they would work withmy SC4. Thanks!

 

Could someone shed some light on this question. Im in the market for Espelier springs as well but I dont want my shocks going quick.

 

Espelir's are garbage IMO. I been through a set with my 92 SC years ago. They are too soft to be so low. My bushings took a beating with these springs. Go with entry level Eibach. They're not too stiff though.

 

I believe there are many others here that have paired the espelirs with tokico blues and have not had any issues of them wearing out fast.

 

the lower you go with your carthe more weight is being added to your shocks. I had an integra once with chopped springs and was riding on shocks alone. NOT GOOD. So if you go too low and not change your shocks to something that could handle it like koni kyb etc then you'll blow your shocks faster than a $2 hooker

 

Tokico hp (blues) and espelir asd springs are the best combo for the lowest drop besides going with supra combo. I've ran them and so has plenty of other people. Running lowering springs on stock struts will cause the struts to go bad. But since you have the tokico hp you will be fine. Cut springs are very different than lowering springs.

yes the espiler/tokico combo will give you the lowest drop. dont quote me but i believe it 2.5F 2.0R. a lil too low for my liking so i went with the supra tt setup 1.7 front 1.2 rear

 

id be good if I ran some of these springs on my stock shocks just until I got a little more money for new ones?
