Well my car started idling low out of no where. its doesnt ever stall out but sounds like its about to. It still drives and pull as strong as normal. the air coming thru the vents dont blow as hard at low idle. As i give it some gas back up to normal idle the air blows normal. The car also does hesitate just a tad bit when I drive and the rpm's slowly go upto 3k. but its only just 2-3 times.
My check engine light does come on every once in awhile but I think its the O2 sensor because its not plugged and the plug-in where is suppose to go in is missing.
any idea what the problem could be??
i just put in new NGK Iridium plugs and brand new OEM toyota wires in about a month ago. I think it may be the IACV but not certain.
check to see what the code says... I had a similar issue and I just cleaned out the TB and replaced a few vaccum hoses fixed the issue. I don't know that will be issue but you can try it out.
oh so now its idling up and down from 300 or 400 rpms up upto 2500rpms. blows out white smoke sometimes. lastnight it was blowing out alot when i kept the idle at 1k rpm. stinks up my whole car. doesnt smell like coolant being burnt. has a sharp gasoline like smell to it. the car rumbles like i have upgraded cams. it still runs and drives but when i put it in gear and left off the gas it will goes by itself as the rpms go up and down. (yikes).
any ideas? its kinda dark out and i dont have a garage. but i will be checkin my vaccuum hoses and coolant in the morning. it just started gettin bad tonigt. I changed out the NGK Iridiums out with some OEM Toyota Denso plugs.
any help or suggestions would be great. this is my DD and the only car i have so i cant really be w/o a car.
