i have many buddies who do lsx swaps in various cars... rx7 mostly but do it... no one would see it coming and if people are whining about it not having turbos... then turbo it as well... =)
An LS engine can go in anything, just like all foods taste like chicken. If its a car with a body, an LS engine can go in it. I'm all about toyota engines, but I'm also all for being different. Hope you find a way to do it and hope I get to see it. Good luck.
I wholeheartedly support this idea, and plan on doing it myself if I pop another 2J... My buddy has an LSx in his s13 and the shop that did the swap told me it'd cost me no more than 5-6 g's all said and done including the cost of the motor... Well worth it for reliable power and to confuse the hell out of people at stoplights or car meets.
i saw that 240 in another thread about a chicago car show LoL didnt know it had an LS engine looks badass from the side carbon fiber fender flares tight
Ls9 6.2L 376ci < Ls7 7.0L 427ci. Yes ls9 make more power but thats only because its supercharged.If you supercharge a ls7 with 10psi you will make about 700hp.Plus the ls7 has 11:1 compression.

If you got the money to just do it cause its different then go ahead. But if your just trying to make cost effective power a jz swap a big single, fuel control,etc...and your done 400-1000hp depending on you!!

I am not an lsx tech guru and i certainly can't say i know a tremendous amount, but from what i understand (from my time spent on lsx forums) the ls7 performs remarkably well as an na engine but it does not take kindly to boost. And if you had to open up the engine and build it to withstand pressure anyway, then start with an ls2 or ls3 and save a couple grand because once all said and done the final packages will be about the same.
